North Carolina Nursing Home Education Requirements:
60 semester hours; 96 quarter hours - completion of prescribed course in basic nursing home administration. Two years of supervisory experience in a nursing home may be equated to one year of college.

The University of North Carolina offers the long-term care administration concentrations in the Bachelor of Science of Public Health, at the undergraduate level, and Master of Science in Public Health and Master's in Healthcare Administration degree at the graduate level.
